On edmunds my car is rated at 27/33. I typically average 33, and I drive 80% in town, and like a young guy in a Civic.

On my 03, I'm mostly highway and I've been around 34-35. That said, I just changed the spark plugs yesterday and they were gross, so I'd wager I'm about to improve that figure. Also, I'm going 80ish the whole time, so I would probably improve a little by slowing down, too.
Upside though, I thought my tank was 11 gallons. Glad to see its 13.

At worst, in winter during short runs my CLK does about 17.7 of Her Majesty's proper MPGs (14.7 US MPG, 16 l/100km). My best run was when I drove a friend to an airport about 200km away - I managed about 40 Imp MPG, 33.6 US, 7 l/100km including a return trip.
I average about 24 Imperial MPG, 20 US, 12 l/100km. Fokken terrible, but I don't really mind too much.

Same thing happens on my tdi, they're rated 30/38 by epa, I get 45/60 driving quite spiritedly.

I don't get that good but I easily beat 32/42. I am averaging 35 mostly city and my highway mileage is usually mid 40's with the cruise set at 80

The worst Ive ever gotten was 26 but that was in a very cold February, and I'm one of those idiots that like to let there car warm up for 20 minutes.
Also I replace my plugs and injectors at 104,500 when I bought the car, now 10,000 miles ago. Along with getting the timing belt, and water pump replaced so I'm sure that has helped.
